You will thrive in a technical environment, playing a key role in a team that ensures the procurement of spare parts and consumables to keep the ships on course. You will communicate fluently and confidently in German and English with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments and ship management colleagues.

You will obtain and compare quotations for spare parts and related items. You will also co-ordinate orders, deliveries and returns and deal with complaints as an enriching diversion. You will keep track of everything with accurate and precise controlling.

Education in the technical and/or commercial area gives you the necessary tools for this position. Ideally, you will have several years’ experience in technical purchasing or in the technical area of a shipping company. You are a good negotiator, have good organisational skills, are assertive and have a good sense of humour. You are able to work independently in an international team and your working style is structured and conscientious. You are familiar with MS Office programmes, which make your daily work easier.
