Description

It’s time to become one of us. Our employees are what keep us afloat and we would love you to become part of our team!

As a Locks & Docks Coordinator, you are at home in shipping or want to embark on this route. You are part of a team and work on your tasks independently, reliably, responsibly and proactively. You experience daily contact with, among others, customers, branch offices, corporate captains and captains as an enrichment.

You create, process and update the timetables in coordination with the respective tour operator and the responsible corporate captain and maintain them in the database. You routinely process requests from piers and locks and request the relevant permits.

You can reliably check the water situation on the relevant rivers, the weather situation in the respective catchment area and important ship news. You check the invoices from your area of responsibility independently. Providing on-call duty according to the schedule is a welcome change for you. According to the instructions, you will support the budget preparation.

It is an advantage if you have commercial training and/or have professional experience in scheduling or operational work in shipping, aviation, rail transport, logistics or a similar area.

You are open-minded and used to working autonomously. You are a proactive and flexible personality with team spirit and a flair for coordination. Your sense of humor allows you to remain resilient and confident even in hectic moments. Your quick comprehension, your networked thinking skills and your affinity for the use of IT instruments maneuver you skillfully and safely into the harbor of a complex business area. You are used to operating in an international environment and communicating professionally in German and English.

A well-founded introduction to the activity is a matter of course for us. We offer you a varied area of responsibility with a lot of personal responsibility in a lively industry, office space directly at the SBB train station in Basel, long-term development opportunities within the UNITED WATERWAYS group as well as a collegial, international and experienced team in an expanding company.

Do you think you are the right person for us? Then we look forward to you joining our team and helping us sail the waterways of Europe!
