Description

It’s time to become one of us. Our employees are what keep us afloat and we would love you to become part of our team!

Enhance your career in technical operations by joining our team as a Corporate Engineer. This key role is at the heart of ensuring the optimum performance and reliability of our fleet. As a Corporate Engineer, you will be responsible for organising repair reports, facilitating seamless communication between the office and vessels regarding repairs, and performing follow-up checks to update our database with completed maintenance work.

Your duties will extend to managing the winter repair process, from recording necessary repairs to requesting quotes from suppliers and preparing the winter budget. You’ll play a key role in coordinating winter maintenance activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

As well as maintenance, you will also be responsible for debriefing suppliers and reviewing invoices to ensure accuracy and transparency. Regular ship visits will also be part of your role, allowing you to assess the performance of our on-board engineers. Based on these assessments, you’ll develop targeted training plans to improve the skills and knowledge of our engineering team.

Working closely with headquarters in Basel and our valued customers, you’ll ensure that our maintenance strategies are aligned with operational needs and customer expectations. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our fleet and contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

Ideally you will have completed a technical education or specialised training and have a good command of German and/or English. You will also have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position, be organised, independent, reliable, willing to take responsibility and lead our technical team on board.
