In your new role you will develop procedural instructions and checklists in cooperation with the head of the planning level and the fleet management. You will be responsible for checking and, if necessary, revising the certificate and safety management documentation. Furthermore, you will participate in the development of a ship security plan in cooperation with the fleet management and the ship’s personnel. You will in addition organise and support surveys, audits, inspections and certifications by external parties (regulatory authorities).

You are the best match if you bring a maritime and/or engineering degree, or a technical education combined with further training at a higher technical college and/or further training as an FCOS safety specialist combined with professional experience in the management of river or sea-going vessels.
You will have demonstrable expertise in health, safety and dangerous goods, as well as project management experience. You will be familiar with ISO or ISM/ISPS certification for internal auditors. You will be a person of integrity, dynamic, autonomous with a hands-on approach and strong implementation skills, ideally experienced in working in an international environment and able to communicate professionally in German and English.
