River Advice was my first experience in river cruising. Compared to freight operations, everything is different – cargo shipping has small crews, while cruise ships bring together many people in a confined space. What struck me most was the sense of autonomy and genuine support here: as long as the job is done well, management acts as a resource, always available when needed.

There’s also remarkable camaraderie among the captains themselves – a real sense of cohesion that I value deeply.

My story of coming on board – I consider it a special one; it was truly a dream come true. River Advice gave me the opportunity to learn new things, to step outside my comfort zone, and, even more importantly, to meet people of different nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds.

In my teenage years, I never imagined I would one day visit cities I had only heard about on TV. Thanks to River Advice, I’ve achieved many goals – personally, by meeting wonderful people who later became my friends, and of course financially too! There are so many moments to cherish, but I can share one that has stayed in my heart. In 2017 we had an extraordinary season, combining hard work and responsibility with so much fun that we would forget any unpleasant or unexpected situation.
