Under the umbrella of UNITED WATERWAYS, the group—with over 4,000 dedicated employees—represents a fleet of more than 100 passenger and event vessels on Europe’s inland waterways. The broad range of services we offer supports our clients in all areas of passenger inland waterway shipping: shipowner management, crew management, nautical/technical management, hospitality & catering services, safety & security, ship financing, charter brokerage, insurance management, as well as new-build & refit support and ship ICT services.
Your responsibilities:
- Preparation, processing, and updating of itineraries in coordination with the respective tour operator and the responsible corporate captain
- Inquiries regarding boat docks and locks in France
- Obtaining the necessary permits
- Review of invoices from the respective area of responsibility
- Daily maintenance of the schedules in the database
- Daily monitoring of water levels on the relevant rivers, weather conditions in the corresponding watershed, and relevant shipping reports
- On-call duty as scheduled
- Budget preparation in accordance with instructions
Your profile:
- Business training is a plus
- Professional experience in scheduling or an operational role, ideally in the shipping, aviation, rail transport, logistics, or related industries
- An independent, proactive, and flexible approach to work
- Strong team spirit, as well as organizational and coordination skills
- A resilient and confident personality—even in hectic situations
- Quick comprehension and the ability to think critically
- Strong proficiency with IT tools and digital work tools
- Enjoyment of a complex and dynamic business environment
- Experience in an international setting is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in German, English, and French
