We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to support our procurement and logistics activities. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to develop skills in purchasing, supply chain coordination, and operational logistics within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your tasks:

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating all material orders across the current fleet of three vessels, as well as preparing and scaling the process for two additional vessels scheduled for 2027. Ensure timely procurement, correct specification, and operational continuity across the entire fleet. 
  • Maintains accurate control of the onsite warehouse inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, correct storage conditions, and regular stock reconciliation. Prevents shortages and overstock situations through continuous monitoring and optimization. 
  • Tracks and supervises all orders placed by vessels, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and alignment with operational needs. Acts as the central point of control between vessel requests and supply execution. 
  • Verifies supplier invoices against delivery notes to ensure accuracy in quantities, pricing, and agreed conditions. Ensures proper documentation and supports financial control and audit readiness. 
  • Manages the efficient flow of goods between warehouse and vessels, ensuring timely deliveries and optimized logistics processes. Coordinates transport, scheduling, and prioritization based on operational demand. 
  • Ensures that all procurement, stock, and logistics data are accurately recorded and continuously updated in the system. Maintains data integrity to support reporting, planning, and decision-making processes. 
  • Works closely with the operations team to ensure alignment between procurement activities and onboard requirements. Provides proactive support to guarantee smooth daily operations across the fleet. 
  • Maintains regular communication with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, resolve issues, negotiate conditions when needed, and maintain strong and reliable supplier relationships. 
  • Responsible for the full process of crew uniform procurement, distribution, and stock control, ensuring availability, standardization, and timely replacement for all crew members. 
  • Monitors expenses related to procurement and logistics, ensuring alignment with approved budgets. Provides regular reporting on costs, deviations, and opportunities for optimization. 

Your profile:

  • 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, administration, or similar roles
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); Portuguese
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a structured environment
  • Proactive, responsible, and team-oriented mindset

Nice to have:

  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes
  • Experience with purchasing systems
  • Previous exposure to logistics or operational environments
