As a Trainee Engineer, you will embark on an exciting journey to kickstart your career in the field of engineering. This role will provide you with invaluable hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from professionals in the industry.
As part of your responsibilities, you will work closely with senior engineers and technicians, assisting them in various tasks related to ship maintenance and repair. This will involve observing and learning the intricacies of maintaining and monitoring machinery, facilities, and equipment on board. You will collaborate with the repair department, lending a helping hand to promptly address any issues or damages that may arise.

Your role will also include performing routine maintenance tasks under supervision, such as oil changes, equipment inspections, and general upkeep of machinery. This will allow you to develop practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the engineering processes involved.
Furthermore, you will be help managing technical materials, such as tools and expendable items, ensuring their availability and proper usage throughout the ship. This will require organizational skills and attention to detail as you assist in maintaining an efficient inventory system.

Safety will be a top priority in your role as a Trainee Engineer. You will be actively involved in identifying and addressing potential safety hazards, contributing to the overall well-being of the crew and passengers on board. This will involve adhering to safety protocols and assisting in the implementation of preventive measures.

To qualify for this position, a good command of the required languages, such as German and/or English, is essential. While prior experience in a similar role is preferred, we value your passion, willingness to learn, and dedication to your craft.
